… and after the rain we could go outside to play.
i was so honored to photograph Kim and Rob's wedding at Skytop Lodge in the Poconos and i couldn't have asked for a better wedding to begin this new journey. beautiful bride, amazing location and perfect weather…. what an incredible day! congratulations Kim and Rob and all the best to you both!!
* a special thank you to Drew Smith who assisted me with this wedding. a few of her images are in the mix!
Grayson recently celebrated his first birthday, and i was thrilled when my dear friends asked me to do another family photo session for them. i cannot say enough about this family… watching them interact is magic -- they are just so much fun to spend a day with and photograph! Grayson is just the sweetest little boy and it's always a pleasure to have Nelson tag along too. Justin and Bethany, you are such amazing friends and parents. it is always a pleasure to capture the warmth and joy of your family.
good friends and new parents, Michelle and Josh, recently welcomed sweet baby Addison into the world. feeling very fortunate to be one of the first to greet her in the hospital, i was also able to spend some time with her when she arrived home. holding a new baby always makes me nostalgic. through the fog of sleepless nights, i remember all of those beautiful yet fleeting moments of having a newborn :: squishy cheeks and pouty lips… the feeling of a small being curled on your chest... tiny hands wrapped around your finger…first smiles… first laughs… first connections. i talked and laughed with Michelle and Josh about parenting moments and missteps, and all of the joys and challenges of becoming a new parent. these two are off to a great start! i am so excited to watch baby Addison grow and develop along with her wonderful and loving parents. much love to you all.
it was so great to spend the day with Cheryl, Dave and Holden before the birth of their second baby, Tyler. the weather was perfect for walking the grounds of Meadowlark Gardens, watching the fish, smelling the flowers and blowing bubbles together. i was happy to accompany my friends on one of their last outings as a family of 3. i hope you are enjoying your new addition and i look forward to meeting Tyler soon. best wishes to you all!
a few weeks ago my baby boy turned 3. we were sitting together on the sofa when he asked, 'mama, why do you have a birthday party?'. i started talking to him about how much fun birthday parties are and how we celebrate with our friends and family. this eventually led to a discussion about the passage of time, the calendar and the years that go by and how we all grow older. he looked deep into my eyes and grabbed my face in his still so tiny hands... i imagined for a moment that he knew exactly what i was saying and how i felt about him growing up too fast. just then he squished up his face, shook his head and said to me…. 'mama, what are you even talking about?!'
this is love. true and pure. he reminds me each day not to take life so seriously and i feel so blessed to have him in my life. happy birthday aaron. may all your wishes come true.
enjoying the weather and this beautiful light….
